ASSE – Kuwait Chapter’s
Prestigious Safety Professional of the Year of the Award (SPY) 2014
Mr. Vasudevan. N, CSP, of American Society of Safety Engineers Kuwait Chapter was honored with “ASSE Kuwait Chapter’s Safety Professional Year Award 2014” for his outstanding contributions to the chapter and the HSE Profession. This prestigious award was given during the Award Ceremony of ASSE GCC HSE Excellence Award 2014. Outstanding HSE professionals are the driving force behind the 100-year-old American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). In addition to working to prevent injuries and illnesses at work, members volunteer their time and resources throughout the year to protect people, property and the environment. The Society is divided into eight Regions and ASSE- Kuwait Chapter falls under Region VI. This region consists of 15 Chapters within USA and 3 International Chapters. Kuwait is the first and the largest International Chapter among those. As per the Societ

The Award is instituted by ASSE Kuwait Chapter in 2011 which is in line with the ASSE Head Quarters, USA pro ce dures and guidelines. During the award ceremony, Mr. CH. Rama Krushna Chary, Secretary of the chapter who facilitated the ceremony briefed about the award and it’s evaluation criteria that was followed. Mr. Fadhel Al Ali, Chairman of ASSE Kuwait Chapter along with the chief guest Ms. Wafaa’ Al – Zaabi , DMD, Planning, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, and Mr. Ahmed Al Attar, President , ASSE Kuwai t Chapter handed over this prestigious award to Mr. Vasudevan. N and appreciated his efforts and contribution to the chapter and HSE Profession. Mr. Vasudevan is extending his voluntary services in various positions in ASSE Kuwait Chapter voluntarily over the years.
Mr. Vasudevan, in his thanks giving message, thanked the ASSE Kuwait Chapter, its Advisory & Executive Committee for entrusting various responsibilities, besides thanking Management of Kuwait National Petroleum Company, Kuwait for providing support in delivering various initiatives through showing strong commitment towards HSE. He dedicated this award to all those professionals who worked with him over years for the cause of preventing incidents at work place.
