Malini’s shishyas (students) are spread across Oxford,Scotland,Lausanne,Mississuaga,Ohio,Brisbane,India and the Middle East.

Malini has recorded `Skandagiri Paamaalai’ an album on her Pujya Guru’s works and `Music is Universal’ essaying carnatic ragas and emotions for an international audience as part of the Al Sabah Collection, Dar- al athar al- Islamiyyah, Kuwait.
Her reach-out to specially- abled children through the therapeutic aspects of Carnatic music are noteworthy.


Trained in the carnatic classical music by great Gurus of the legacy of the Bard of Thiruvayyar Saint Thyagaraja,like Guru Shri Purushottham of Darpana Academy of Mrinalini Sarabhai,Sangeetha Mahamahopadhyaya Brahmasri Kollegal R Subramanyam,and Smt Radha Viswanath(daughter of Bharat Ratna M S Subbalakshmi).


Malini Viswanath founded Raag`N’Rhythm in Kuwait in 2000,Over the last two decades,Raag`N’Rhythm,under the mentorship of Malini Viswanath has performed and produced thematic music events,Aaraadhanas for all the trinity of Carnatic Music,Lec dems and workshops showcasing the universality of Indian classical music for world peace.

IFL Kuwait job newsIn 2011, Malini had choreographed `Harmony’on the occasion of kuwait’s 50 years of independence and 20 years of liberation and had the privilege of performing with the Kuwait state artist Mr . Abdul Aziz at Kuwait’s epicenter of Culture,the prestigious Dar Al Athar Al Islamiyyah.
In the November of 2014,Malini was invited to present the classical Carnatic workshop at Amricani Cultural Centre with her students.
`Anwesha’was choreographed by Malini for dar’s music season in 2015,which was the collaboration with Marius Rusanu, the Romanian clarinetist. IFL Kuwait job news
On the occasion of International Museum Day,2016, students of Raag`N’Rhythm had the rare opportunity to jam up with George Ramirez, the Spaniad multivocalist. Raag`N’Rhythm had always speardheaded the cause of propagating,universality of music,through regular workshops and concerts with living legends like Grammy Awardee Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Pandit RonuMajumdar, Oscar Award Nominee,Bombay Jayashri,while bringing to audiences the treasure trove of the trinity of carnatic music.

Today, Malini continues her mission of propagating her Guru Kollegal Subramanyam’s 760 works,on his Jayanthi every year on Septembet 11th, and is spearheading his dream of continuing the tradition at `Chinna Thiruvayyaru’ the only temple for Saint Thyagaraja outside Thiruvayyaru,in Hyderabad.

With the publication of `Sri Thyagaraja Vaibhavam’(a biopic on the great Poet Composer Sri Thyagaraja)in four languages,Malini and her students at Raag`N’Rhythm continue to enhance the reach of the ancient Indian classical art form to the next generation .Malini Viswanath can be reached on This email address is being protected from spambots.
