Little stars of Salmiya Indian Model School (SIMS) shine in the Inter School Competition

SIMS participated in the Inter-school Choral Recitation Competition organized by the Don Bosco Past Pupils Association at Indian English Academy School, Kuwait; held on 23rd November 2012. Our little stars from grades I & II participated in the sub-juniors category and grades III & IV participated in the juniors’ category.

It was indeed a proud moment for the Parents, Teachers, when the students of Grades I & II won the second prize for rendering the beautiful poem, ‘I had a great day’ by Ruth Romer. It was undoubtedly a pleasure to hear them reciting, how the day commenced in a bad mood for the boy as he woke up late. The day continued to be disastrous until he met a new friend, and that meeting made this day remarkable.

Students from Grades III & IV, spoke how harmful can be the addiction for television. They were successful in making the audience convinced of the fact that reading can be a best alternative for watching television.

Both the groups performed with confidence & fervor and the ambience created well suited the occasion.

Altogether, it was a laudable rendition. The achievement is well appreciated.
