Seminar on ‘India's Higher Education Landscape’

WhatsApp Image 2024 02 14 at 6.13.50 PM 1. The Embassy organized a seminar on ‘India’s Higher Education Landscape’ at the Embassy premises on 14 February 2024 to  showcase the advancements and future prospects of Indian higher education sector for potential collaboration between both countries.

2.         The chief guest of the event was H.E. Lana Othman Al-Ayyar, CEO Al Rayan Holding Co. and Guest of honour was Ms. Nourah Al Ghanim, Chairperson of Union of Private Schools in Kuwait. The seminar comprised of remarks by Ambassador of India, Dr. Ashwin Fernandes, Executive Director at QS World University Rankings and author of the book “India’s Knowledge Supremacy: The New Dawn” and Dr. Ramakrishna Raman, Vice Chancellor of Symbiosis International University, Pune.

4.         The seminar was useful in projecting opportunities for greater collaboration between the two countries in the educational sector, including setting up campuses of Indian Universities in Kuwait, enrollment of Kuwaiti students in Indian Universities, enrollment of Indian students in Kuwaiti Universities, recruitment of faculty-members and exchange programmes between Universities of both countries. Around 350 people attended the event, including  representatives of Kuwait University, Kuwait College of Science and Technology, AUM,  faculty members of other Universities in Kuwait, Principals of Indian and International schools, prominent members of Indian community, teachers, students and friends from media.
