India’s Republic Day Event

25th January 2019: Republic Day is something special. Isn't it? We all get together with no discrimination of religion, caste, color or gender.

‘Welfare India’ Kuwait, one of the leading socio cultural organization organized a flamboyant program on the eve of India’s Republic Day held at Thanima Auditorium, Abu-Halifa. Around hundred and fifty people participated in the event.

The atmosphere was filled with emotion, when National Anthem was played at start of the event. Everyone felt proud to be an 'INDIAN'. Various ‘Deshbhakti Songs’ were played during the program. On this day the great personalities, leaders and those who played a major role in bringing independence as well as the people involved in the preparation of Indian Constitution were remembered.

Speakers over speakers pressed the importance of ‘Unity in Diversity’. Also pushed, the coherence between various religious and social groups to be maintained at all times, as we all are ONE. The spirit of ‘Unity in Diversity’, which is making our country an economic power and a superpower to be reckoned with. This spirit did not build in a day. But, it is the hard work of our foresighted leaders over a period. Mahatma Gandhi, Abul Kalam Azad, Subhash Chandra Bose and their followers instill the confidence in the people from all the diversities that their unity is the foremost requirement.

We must take the oath today as India’s educated and very responsible citizens. We must seriously do our duty and work hard to achieve the goal and lead our nation successfully. Let’s get rid of illiteracy and take India in a bright future.

Welfare-India, President Muzaffar Deshmukh and General Secretary Faheem Ahmad while speaking elaborated on the various initiatives taken up by Welfare-India for the Indians residing in Kuwait. Among them the foremost was the contribution towards the resolution of the NOC Issue of the engineering community. They also spoke about the objectives of Welfare-India. They stressed that Welfare-India belongs to every Indian residing in Kuwait irrespective of Cast, Community, Gender and Religion.

Speakers includes WIK Vice-President, Harminder Sabharwal as well, WIK Executive Members Iqbal Ahmed as well as Wahed Khan. Dr. Radhika, Poet Amir, Sayed Nazar, Sunil Sonsi, Kaiser, Aamer Kidwai as well as Welfare Kerala Secretary Anwar Sadiq, were guests and speakers at the event. The Program was convened by Welfare-India Spokesman Syed Irshad Hussain. Delicious Dinner was arranged at the end of the program. Syed Ruman and Abdul Rahman Farooqui took extensive efforts.
