Indian Schools Participate in Maurya Kala Parisar’s 8th Dinkar Hindi Awards

1st Prize Debate104 students from 15 Indian Schools competed to win 12 prizes in 8th Dinkar Hindi Awards of Maurya Kala Parisar, held on Friday, 22 September 2023 at Indian School of Excellence Auditorium Salmiya.  Over the years healthy rivalry has developed between some of the strong teams. ICSK Amman, FAIPS and ICSK Khaitan swept the prizes. Indian English Academy (Don Bosco), SIMS, New Gulf Indian School joined the top teams in sharing the prizes.

Mr Reaven D’Souza Managing Editor TimesKuwait speaking as Chief Guest said Hindi is a medium to know about a large part of Indian Culture and Heritage. Guest of Honour Mr Anoop Kumar Principal New Gulf Indian School praised the effort to honour Academic Achievers (Hindi) from each School.

Competition was tough, but best performances were acknowledged by all teams and judgements accepted. Ms Vani Agrwal HOD FAIPS was seen cheering the rival ICSK Kahitan’s win. Ms Gurvinder Kaur ICSK Senior HOD attended the event for the first time and commented “ It was wonderful platform to all the students to show case their talent.”  Hindi Debate on the topic “AI and ChatGpt Technology is good for Humanity” brought out the best among the students.

Details of this year winners are as follows:

Competition 1: Hindi Debate: 1st st Prize: Jatan Shah (FAIPS) 2nd Prize: Nakul Agal (Indian English Academy Salmiya, 3rd   Prize:  Safa Phyroso ICSK Khaitan

Competition 2: Original poetry in Hindi: 1st Prize Ishan (ICSK Khaitan) 2nd Prize: Rashi Pandya (ICSK Amman)  3rd Prize : Bhavya Patel ( FAIPS)

Competition 3: Recitation of Hindi Poets or Poems from 21st Century by students:

1st Prize : Zainah Khan (ICSK Amman) 2nd Prize: Atharva Chandrakar (FAIPS) 3rd Prize: Serish Khan (ICSK Amman)

Outstanding Recitation Performances from Class VI: Fadil Shaikh (ICSK Amman),   Ekam Chadda (SIMS), Lekshana Ravishankar ( New Gulf Indian School)

Hindi Achievers : Kamalani Ramesh ( FAIPS),   Alqama Sadar Aziz (Integrated Indian School), Anamika Karthik (ICSK Amman), Muneeba Abdul Rehman Chanekar ( Kuwait Indian School), Nesrin Niyas( ICSK Senior), Anfal Bernadette ( Indian Public School), Aaliya Rehan Mukadam ( Indian Central School), KeerathKaur Sethi ( Carmel), Muffaddal Emadduddin Bohara ( SIMS ), Silvan Miracle ( Indian Learner’s Own Academy), Anam Anwar Kazi ( ICSK Khaitan), Mohammad Saad ( Don Bosco)

30 Teachers were appreciated for their effort in preparing the students for the competition.

The poetry competitions were judged by prominent poets from Writers Forum in Kuwait and Debate was judged by Management Experts and Journalist. Judges were: Ramesh Kumar, Arun Shukla, Navniit Gandhi, Nazneen Ali, Radhika Guleri, Anupama Chaturvedi, Aamir Diwan, Sujata Kashyap

Mrs Ekta and Mrs Princy hosted the event. Mr Abhay Kashyap welcomed the guests and Mr Nitin Prabhakar gave vote of thanks. Mrs Bushra Ansari Mr. Vivek Kumar, Mr. Mohd Mahtabuzzaman, Mr. Syed Shabih, Mr. Mithilesh Pandey, Mrs. Anamika Pandey, Mrs. Supriya Singh, Mr. Sanat Ramesh supported the event.

Maurya Kala Parisar is and Association of People from Indian States of Bihar and Jharkhand. It holds multiple events open to all Indian Community in Kuwait.
