Kala(Art) Kuwait “NIRAM 2023” Children’s Day painting competition in association with American Tourister has concluded with the grand prize distribution to all winners at a colorful ceremonial function held at Aspire Indian International School, Abbasiya on Friday, 15th December 2023. The program was witnessed by Community Leaders, Business Personalities, School Principals, Art Teachers, Parents and Media Representatives. The Painting competition was held on 10th November 2023 the occasion of the birthday of late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of Independent India.
Mr. Harit Ketan Shelat, Second Secretary, Indian Embassy Kuwait, has inaugurated the function. During the inaugural speech, Mr. Harit appreciated all winners for their fabulous painting works, which were displayed at the entrance and appreciated the organizers for conducting such a big programs.
The spectacular evening started with the National Anthem of Kuwait followed by India. The welcome speech was addressed by Mr. Rakesh P. D. General Secretary, Kala (Art) Kuwait. Organization President Mr. Jaison Joseph. Chaired the function. NIRAM-2023 program reporting done by Niram Coordinator Mr. Mukesh V, P and Judging Assessment was briefed by Niram-2023 Judge Mr. Sasi Krishnan. The 19th Anniversary souvenir of “NIRAM“ was released by Ms. Kumuda Rajendra, handing over the first copy to Ambili Rakegsh, Niram 2023 General Convener.
The program was enriched by the presence of the chief dignitaries on the dais, Mr. Noufal, General Manager, American Tourister, Ms. Kumuda Rajendra, Goscore Learning, Mr. Vishnu, Jazeera Airways, Mr. Toby Mathew, Aspire, Mr. Sivi Paul, United Logistic, Mr. Varghese, GAT, Mr. Suhail, Faber Castle, Mr. Chesil Ramapuram, Kala(Art) Kuwait office bearers Mr. Sadik, Mrs. Ambily Ragesh, Mrs. Jyothi Sivakumar, Mr. Sunil Kumar, Mr. Siva Kumar, Mr. Ajith Kumar, Mr. Aneesh Varghese and Niram-2023 Judges Artist Sasi Krishnan, Artist Sunil Kulanada, Artist Hari Chengannur and Artist Rajive Kumar.
Panel of Judges were honored by Kala (Art) Kuwait in recognition of their laudable contributions in the field of Arts. Kala (Art) Kuwait Treasurer Ashraf Vithura thanked the guests and audience. Then the prizes to all the group winners were presented by the dignitaries
It is noteworthy that a total of 2300 students from 28 Indian schools in Kuwait have participated in the competition classified into 5 groups and the prizes were distributed among, Five 1st Prizes in to each group, Six 2nd Prizes, Nine 3rd prizes, 86 Merit Prizes and 230 consolation prizes (Total 335 Prizes). The first place winners of each group received a Gold coin & Gold medal, Second place winner with silver medal and Third place winner with bronze medal apart from memento and certificate. Merit Prize & Consolation Prize winners received Trophy, Certificate. All winners have received Aerican Tourister Sponsored Bag, Jazeera Aiways Gift Pack, Goscore Gift Voucher and Oncoast refreshments.
Kala (Art) Kuwait has thanked all the participants as well as School Managements, Sponsors, All Indian Associations, Kuwait's English dailies, Web Portals and Malayalam Medias for their wholehearted support to make the event a grand success. Also thanked the Parents and Art Teachers for their cooperation and support and to the management of Aspire Indian International School, Abbasiya.

C. Bhaskaran Memorial Trophy as a tribute to Late. Mr. C Bhaskaran, one of the founder and advisory board member of Kala (Art) Kuwait, won by IES-Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan, the school from which maximum numbers of students were participated in this event.
