Tamilnadu Engineers Forum (TEF) Hosts 3rd Technical Seminar & Curtain Raiser for TICE & EEA-2025
Tamilnadu Engineers Forum (TEF) successfully hosted its 3rd Technical Seminar and Curtain Raiser for the much-anticipated 16th Technological Innovations Conference and Exposition (TICE) and the 9th Engineering Excellence Awards (EEA) at the Al Hashemi Grand Ballroom, Radisson Blu Hotel. The event brought together industry leaders and technical experts in a dynamic session aimed at setting the stage for one of the most significant engineering and energy events of the year.
The evening began with the Tamil anthem "Tamil Thai Vaazthu," followed by a safety moment and a Thirukkural reading by Engineers Rajnarayanan and Suresh Anand. The cordial welcome address by Eng. Middleton set the tone for the evening, emphasizing knowledge-sharing and meaningful dialogues.
Eng. Maniyarasu introduced the first speaker of the evening, Mr. Konstantin Makarov, MEA Process Product Manager from HACH, USA. Mr. Makarov's session on "Industrial Water Cycles & Hach Online Equipment" highlighted innovative solutions for optimizing water usage across various industrial applications.
At 7:00 PM, the official curtain raiser event commenced with the playing of both the Kuwait and Indian national anthems. The President of TEF, Eng. Raja, and General Secretary Eng. Balasubramanian officially welcomed distinguished guests with bouquets. Eng. Raja then delivered the Presidential Address, reiterating TEF's commitment to advancing engineering excellence and promoting sustainable practices.
The event was further graced by the presence of Mr. Salem Al Ajmi, former consultant to the H.E. Minister of MEW and CEO of the Sustainability Institute and Sustainable Solutions Co., as well as several other esteemed guests of honor, including Mr. Saleh Nasser Al Jateli, Manager - Technical Services, MAA Refinery; Mr. Ahmad Ismail Ali Mohd Dashti, Manager – Maintenance, MAA Refinery; and Mr. Sabah Al Shammari, Director, Golden Palm.
A special moment followed as Joint Secretary Eng. Periyasamy presented the Journey of TICE & EEA. Mr. Al Ajmi officiated the release of the TICE & EEA-2025 brochures, marking the official countdown to the event, which is set to take place on October 9, 2025, at the Al Barakka Ballroom, Crowne Plaza.
In his compelling keynote address, Mr. Al Ajmi discussed the importance of green energy in shaping the future and praised TEF for selecting the timely theme of "The Rise of Green Engineering: Advancing Sustainability Through Technology."
The event also featured the honoring of distinguished guests with shawls, garlands, and mementos by the TEF committee members. The ceremony was skillfully anchored by Eng. Gen Prasanna and Eng. Middleton.
The second technical seminar, titled “Role of Over-Pressure Protection Devices in Process Optimization,” was delivered by Mr. Irfan Shaikh, Managing Director, and Mr. Neerav Vadagama, Product Manager from Groth & CDC Corporation. Their session provided valuable insights into improving operational safety and efficiency using advanced pressure management technologies. Eng. Vadivelan introduced the speakers before the session.
An engaging Q&A session followed, providing the attendees with the opportunity to interact with the experts, enriching their understanding of the topics discussed.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Eng. Subbu, followed by a networking dinner that encouraged collaboration and connection among professionals.
The entire event was anchored by Eng. Anandraj and Eng. Senthilkumar, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for all attendees.
