Telangana Chaitanya Sravanthi, Kuwait celebrates Ugadi 2025 with Grandeur
Telangana Chaitanya Sravanthi (TCS) Kuwait celebrated the Telugu New Year, Ugadi (Vishwa Vasu Nama Samvatsaram), with great splendour at the IBS School auditorium, Fahaheel, Kuwait. The event was attended by a vibrant gathering of TCS members, their families and distinguished guests.
This year’s celebrations were enriched by a unique blend of 'Carnatic Sangeeta Swarangetram' and scintillating performances by children of the Association members.
The celebrations began with a Vedic chant invocation by Miss Sanjana, daughter of Sujatha Ravi, and a warm welcome by the host, Smt. Dasari Sri Sudha Raju. The traditional Garudadeepam lighting ceremony was graced by the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Indian Embassy Shri Sanjay Maluku, the Chief Guest Dr. Sreedhar Kudupudi and the Sponsor Shri Harshal Pattanam of Malabar Gold & Diamonds.
The celebrations continued with the rendition of Telangana Rashtra Geetam performed by a group of members including Sripad Rao, Boppe Srinivas, Prasanna Boppe, Ravi Kanagala, Syamala Kanagala, and Shobha Indeevar.
The TCS President, Mr. Laxma Reddy, addressed the gathering and reminded that the TCS Association was established a decade ago and is based on four core principles: ‘Telangana Soyi’, ‘Santhosham’, ‘Samkruthi’ and ‘Shikshana’. He encouraged all members to enthusiastically participate in the activities of the Association and utilize the Association to showcase their skills, preserve the traditional and cultural values of Bharat. The President also urged the parents to inspire their children to participate in extracurricular activities to achieve holistic personality development.
Shri. Sripad Rao rendered the traditional Pachanga Shravanam, sharing predictions and blessings for the new year 2025.
Mr Ravi Kumar Kanagala, a TCS member and disciple of renowned Carnatic Sangeeta Acharya Dr. Sreedhar Kudupudi (Chief Guest), gave his ‘Carnatic Sangeeta Swarangetram’ supported by Mr. Sunil Illath (Harmonium Exponent) and Mr. Sajeeb Kumar (Tabla Exponent) with a grace.
Mr Katari Ramamohan delivered a heartfelt speech on the topic “Telugu Maata” in which he emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting the Telugu language, which was well received by the audience.

- Dance performance by Manaswini/Anirudh (Daughter and son of Lasvika Kytham Raju)
- Solo dance performance by Aditya (Son of Ram Reddy)
- Solo dance performance by Praveenya (Daughter of Ramakishore Gullapudi)
- Keyboard performance by Mohit (S/o Ravi Kumar Gannarapu)
- Classical dance from Bharata Veda Pouranami by Avyuktha (Daughter of Keerthi Chandrasekhar)
- Pillalu Devudu song by Deekshita (granddaughter of Sita Puvvada)
- Remix dance performance by Tanuj Karthika (Son & daughter of Swapna Pawan Reddy)
- Folk dance by Mishita (D/o Abhilasha Suresh Godishala)
- Dance performance from Neelimeghalalo by Sanjula (Daughter of Kranthi Muralimohan)
After the performances, prizes were distributed to the participating children.
The TCS thanked the Chief Guest Dr. Sreedhar Kudupudi for his participation in Ugadi Sambaralu-2025, Swarangetram and conferred upon him the title of ‘Sangeeta Prapoorna’ in recognition of his passion, unconditional commitment and dedication to the world of Carnatic Sangeetam and Light Music.
Mr Kiran Kumar, the General Secretary, concluded the event with a vote of thanks in which he appreciated all the participants and audience for their involvement and encouragement throughout the programme.
