IMA Weekend Islamic School (IMAWIS) Successfully Hosts Annual Day & Felicitation Ceremony 2025
Indian Muslim Association (IMA), under the patronage of Ministry of Awqaf & Islamic Affairs (Foreign Relations Department), successfully organized the Annual Day & Felicitation Ceremony 2025 of its IMA Weekend Islamic School (IMAWIS) on Friday, 12th September 2025, at the Awqaf Auditorium, Reggai. The Grand Event witnessed the wholehearted participation of Students, Parents, Dignitaries, and Community Members, making it a memorable and inspiring Evening.
The Program commenced with a soulful recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by young student Afiyah Jawwad Khan with translation by Yahya Hamdan, setting a spiritual tone for the Gathering, followed by the Welcome Address by IMAWIS Principal, Mr Nisar Ahmad, who highlighted the Vision and Achievements of the School in nurturing Children with Islamic Values alongside Academic Excellence.
The Evening was graced by the presence of Distinguished Guests, including Mr. Jamal Abdul Khaliq Abdullah Al Nouri, Chairman of Sheikh Abdullah Al Nouri Charity Society and Mr. Aslam Parvez, President-Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys' Assocation (AMUOBA), who delivered Insightful and Motivating Speeches. Their thought-provoking Discourses emphasized the Importance of Knowledge, Unity, and Values in shaping Future Generations, leaving a lasting impact on the audience.
Adding further prestige to the gathering, Mr Mohammed Ali, Chief Coordinator Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, attended the program as a Special Guest. His presence reflected the continued encouragement and support of the Ministry for IMA’s Educational and Community Initiatives.
The Cultural Program showcased the Immense Talents of IMAWIS Students through Nasheeds, Skits, and Speeches.
- A Melodious Nasheed in Urdu presented by Mr Jawwad Khan and Young Students Group filled the auditorium with Uplifting Spirit.
- Drama Performances, including “The Value of Ilm (Knowledge)” and “We Are One Ummah”, delivered powerful moral messages and were highly appreciated by the audience.
- Students Ridha Fayyaz Bhandarkar and Muhammad Ahmed Hanif impressed everyone with their well-prepared Speeches on “The Character of an Ideal Muslim” and “Obedience to Parents”
IMA Ex-President, Mr Shamveel Parvez, in his Presidential Address, praised the dedication of the Students, Teachers, and Parents, and reaffirmed IMA’s commitment to fostering Education that combines learning with values and Community Service.
The Program concluded with the much-awaited Awards & Felicitation Ceremony, where Outstanding Students were recognized for their Achievements in Academics, Islamic Studies, and Extracurricular Activities. The Felicitation, conducted by the Organizers alongside the Dignitaries, was a moment of pride and encouragement for all.
The Event was well conducted by Mr Faiyaz Ahmed & ended with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr Tayyab Bawazir, followed by refreshments.
IMA Weekend Islamic School (IMAWIS) is an Online School in Kuwait by the Indian Muslim Association (IMA) for Boys and Girls aged 5-14, offering Classes in Islamic Studies, Hifdh, Seerah, Duas, and Arabic. The Program features Holistic Learning with Online Interactive Tools and Experienced Teachers, with classes held on Saturdays from 9 AM to 12 PM.
