58th Engineers Day Celebration – IEI Kuwait Chapter - 2025

The event honored the legacy of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya, whose remarkable contributions continue to inspire engineers globally.

The ceremony commenced with the soulful rendition of the Kuwait National Anthem, followed by the Indian National Anthem, setting a tone of respect and unity.

Her Excellency Paramita Tripathi, Ambassador of India to Kuwait, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. A distinguished diplomat known for her leadership in strengthening India–Kuwait relations, she appreciated the IEI Kuwait Chapter for its consistent efforts in elevating the engineering community in Kuwait. In her inspiring address, she emphasized the indispensable role of engineers in driving sustainable development and technological innovation worldwide.

The chapter felicitated Her Excellency with a memento in recognition of her presence, support, and encouragement to the engineering fraternity.

The event was further honored by the presence of distinguished guests from Kuwait’s engineering and industrial sectors:

Mr. Ahmed Ali Al Sabah, General Manager of SATCO, delivered an insightful address underscoring the importance of innovation, continuous learning, and professional collaboration. He appreciated IEI Kuwait Chapter for its initiative in bringing engineers together and fostering knowledge exchange.

Eng. Ahmed Saad Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works (MPW), shared valuable insights on Kuwait’s ongoing infrastructure transformation. He commended the chapter for organizing meaningful technical events that support national development goals.

Representing Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE), Eng. Hamad Abul, Senior Engineer at KNPC, conveyed a message on behalf of Eng. Mohammed Fahad Al-Subaie, Chairman of KSE. The message applauded IEI Kuwait Chapter for its dynamic role in engineering excellence and community engagement.

A special highlight of the evening was the Engineer Excellence Award, presented to Er. A. N. Natarajan for his outstanding contributions and long-standing dedication to the engineering profession.

The technical segment featured an enlightening keynote address by Dr. Zainab, Assistant Professor at Kuwait University, who spoke on “AI in Future Life Sciences”. Her talk provided a futuristic outlook on how emerging technologies will transform global health, research, and engineering solutions.

Eng. Rishabh Nath Jain presented an overview of Engineers Day, reflecting on the visionary achievements of Sir M. Visvesvaraya.
Dr. Mahendran enriched the session with a detailed speech on the significance of the day and the evolving responsibilities of engineers.

All engineers joined together to recite the Engineers Oath, reaffirming their commitment to ethical engineering and societal progress.

To encourage community growth, lucky prizes were awarded to members who successfully introduced new engineers to the IEI Kuwait Chapter.

The chapter honored all sponsors with mementos, acknowledging their continuous support. Executive Committee members for the year 2024–2025 were also recognized for their dedication and contributions.

The celebration concluded with a delightful dinner, offering opportunities for fellowship, networking, and renewed commitment to engineering excellence.

The 58th Engineers Day celebration was a remarkable success, reflecting the spirit of innovation, unity, and professional pride that defines the IEI Kuwait Chapter.
