ITEF Conducted Curtain Raiser Event for GCC Connect-2026 (Professional Development Conference – 2026)
The International Tamil Engineers Forum (ITEF) conducted Curtain Raiser Event for GCC Connect 2026 at Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel, Kuwait, bringing together invited guests and ITEF members. The programme began with a technical seminar by M/s Druck (courtesy of Kuwait Maritime & Mercantile Co. K.S.C.C.) on “Re-Engineering Calibration: Modern Tools & Digital Systems for Maximum Efficiency,” presented by Mr. Ahed Karmoul, highlighting ongoing advancements in industrial precision and digital systems.
The formal unveiling & raising the Curtain for the forthcoming International Conference (GCC CONNECT 2026) was led by Chief Guest, His Excellency Sheikh Malik Al-Jaber Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, Head of Sustainable Development Initiatives, Kuwait and publicized the details “GCC Connect 2026 will take place on 27th & 28th September 2026 at Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel, Kuwait” with the theme: “Connecting the 3i’s: Innovation • Investment • Impact.”
GCC Connect 2026 is the next edition of ITEF’s established Professional Development Conference and is designed as a regional convergence platform for innovation, investment alignment, and structured cross-border collaboration in the GCC region.
ITEF is a not-for-profit organization committed to advancing professional development, enabling structured networking platforms, and supporting skill development and workforce mobility pathways for engineers, with long-term objectives focused on structured standards and globally benchmarked professional validation mechanisms.
Er. Krishna Jegan, Chairman of ITEF, reaffirmed the organization’s long-term commitment to building structured global engineering platforms rooted in institutional credibility and measurable outcomes.
Speaking at the event, Er. Suresh Krishnaswamy, President of ITEF Kuwait Chapter, stated: “Sustainable engineering growth emerges from collaboration built on trust, expertise, and shared regional purpose.” Er. Selvam C., Managing Director of ITEF, added: “Institutional vision succeeds when innovation, talent, and execution progress in structured alignment.”
The ceremony was attended by distinguished Guests of Honor including Mr. Eid Shaman Al-Mutairi, Governorate Director (Retd.), Roads and Networks Department, Ministry of Public Works, Kuwait; Er. Mansour Al Saed, Chief Executive Officer, Kuwait Public Transport Company (KPTC); and Er. Senthil Kumar Ganesan, Chief Operating Officer, Heavy Engineering Industries & Shipbuilding Co. (HEISCO).
Keynote insights were delivered by Mr. Sivarajah Ramanathan, Mission Director and CEO of Tamilnadu Startup & Innovation Mission (StartupTN), Government of Tamil Nadu, and Dr. T. M. Gunaraja, Chairman of MIET Group of Institutions and Former President of the Institute of Engineers India. In addition, ITEF Chapter Presidents from all the Chapters in GCC and Global Directors participated in the Curtain Raiser Event. The event was well attended by Sponsors, Patrons & Industry leaders.
GCC Connect 2026 aims to facilitate cross-border collaboration, responsible capital engagement, and innovation-led industrial development aligned with regional transformation priorities.
