Pravasi Legal Cell submitted Request to allow change of exam centre for students registered from Kuwait for NEET 2026.Considering the ongoing war situation in the Middle East, the Pravasi Legal Cell has submitted a representation requesting urgent permission for students who have registered from Kuwait for the NEET 2026 examination to change their exam centers.

The representation was submitted to the Secretary of the Ministry of Education and the Director of the National Testing Agency (NTA). The memorandum was presented by Adv. Jose Abraham, Global President of Pravasi Legal Cell and Babu Francis, Kuwait Country Head. Students who selected Kuwait as their first-choice exam centre are currently facing difficulties returning from India to Kuwait. Similarly, those who selected Indian centers as their first option are facing challenges traveling from Kuwait to India. Due to the war situation that began on February 28, Kuwait Airport and airspace have been closed, and travel is currently possible only via Saudi Arabia. The high travel costs, uncertainty due to the conflict, and concerns about return travel have created significant distress among students. In light of this situation; the Pravasi Legal Cell has brought the matter to the urgent attention of the central government.

The Pravasi Legal Cell expressed hope for immediate intervention by the central government regarding NEET, the unified entrance examination for medical courses in India, scheduled to be held on May 3.This was stated in the press release by Babu Francis (Kuwait Country Head), Biju Stephen (President), and Shyjith K (General Secretary).
