Thanima Kuwait Bids a Warm Farewell to Varghese Paul

Thanima Kuwait accorded a heartfelt farewell to its long-time associate and an active contributor to the organization’s cultural activities, Varghese Paul. The gathering celebrated his years of dedicated service and friendship, particularly his outstanding contribution as the sound engineer for Thanima’s stage plays and the Open Air Tug of War Programme since 2004.

The function was presided over by Jacob Varghese, Convener of Aashraya Thanima. Babuji Bathery (Former General Convener), Vijesh Velayudhan (Joint Convener), Manoj Mavelikkara, Sibi Varghese, and Sunil John extended their best wishes. Recalling their experiences, Babuji Bathery and Manoj Mavelikkara highlighted Varghese Paul’s exceptional sound engineering skills and his wholehearted support for Thanima’s theatrical productions over the years.

The event was enriched with soulful musical tributes by Malavika Vijesh and Meneesh Vasu, who performed songs in memory of the late S. Janakiyamma.

Core members of Thanima—Shivakumar, Ashraf Churoot, and Mubarack Kambrath—also conveyed their heartfelt wishes to Varghese Paul.

A special farewell message from Thanima was presented by Dominic Antony, followed by the presentation of a memento and a token of appreciation. Varghese Paul’s wife Sheeba and daughter Veena, who will be accompanying him back home, were also present on the occasion.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Rana Varghese, Finance Convener of Thanima, while Jinu K. Abraham, Office Secretary, coordinated the programme.
