Launch of India-Kuwait Media Connect (IKMC) – “Partnership, Perspectives and Possibilities” (30 September 2026)

The Embassy of India in Kuwait launched the India–Kuwait Media Connect (IKMC) – Partnership, Perspectives and Possibilities at a ceremony held at The St. Regis Kuwait Hotel on 30 September 2026. The IKMC is a dedicated platform for structured and sustained engagement between the Embassy and the Kuwaiti media. The event witnessed the presence of senior representatives of leading Kuwaiti media organisations.

2.       IKMC aims to facilitate regular dialogue, access to authentic and timely information, and exchange of perspectives on India, the Embassy’s activities and initiatives, and India–Kuwait relations. It will also serve as a platform to share India’s journey of transformation and progress, including its expanding infrastructure, technological and digital capabilities, economic growth, innovation and development across diverse sectors, while fostering greater understanding of the multifaceted bilateral relationship.

3.       Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador of India to Kuwait, Mrs. Paramita Tripathi, highlighted the important role of the media in fostering mutual understanding and strengthening the close and friendly relations between India and Kuwait. She noted that IKMC would provide opportunities for meaningful dialogue and a closer exchange of information and perspectives. The Ambassador also unveiled the IKMC logo, marking the formal launch of the platform.

4.       As part of the initiative, the Embassy plans to organise monthly press conferences for Kuwaiti media representatives, which will provide an opportunity for participants to receive updates on the Embassy’s activities and initiatives, developments in India and India–Kuwait relations, and other matters of mutual interest, while enabling direct interaction between media representatives and Embassy officials. Through IKMC, the Embassy seeks to strengthen professional ties with the Kuwaiti media, promote greater media-to-media linkages, and facilitate authentic, informed and balanced coverage of India and India–Kuwait relations.

5.       The Embassy of India looks forward to developing IKMC as a constructive forum for Partnership, Perspectives and Possibilities, contributing to greater mutual understanding and further strengthening the close and enduring friendship between India and Kuwait.
