The Indian Cultural Society (ICS) presented a memorable musical extravaganza titled “Dil Ki Awaaz – A Tribute to Indo-Kuwait Friendship,” on Friday, 2 October 2026,. The spectacular evening celebrated the enduring friendship between India and Kuwait while paying heartfelt tribute to the Father of the Indian Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
The musical evening was headlined by young playback singer and performer Alamgir Khan, accompanied by Aamir Khan and Nishtha Pathak, who enthralled the audience with their captivating performances, soulful melodies, and electrifying stage presence.
The program commenced with a prayer song, followed by expressions of sincere gratitude to the Royal Family and the Government of Kuwait for their continued support and for providing a welcoming environment for cultural exchange and community activities.
The evening also celebrated Kuwait’s homegrown artistic talent. Local performers, including Vinod Pandir of Rhydhoonn, Ms. Rupali, Subhashish, and Sangeet, delivered impressive performances that received enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Adding grace, colour, and vibrancy to the program, the talented ladies of The Dancing Divas presented captivating dance performances inspired by India's rich cultural heritage. Young students also took to the stage with an energetic presentation, showcasing their enthusiasm, confidence, and artistic potential.
The event was inaugurated by distinguished actress and singer Ms. Hind Al Baloushi, who delighted the audience with a beautiful song. Esteemed guests Sultan Al Kandary and Mubarak Al Rashed also addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of cultural exchange, friendship, and community harmony.
A special moment of the evening was the felicitation of Mr. Shaik A. Rahiman, Chairman of the Indian Community School, Kuwait, and Mr. Ashok Kalra, Managing Director of Mughal Mahal Group, by the guest artist and his team, in recognition of their distinguished contributions.
Another important highlight was the release of the ICS commemorative souvenir, attended by distinguished guests, valued sponsors, community leaders, and other dignitaries. The occasion was graced by several prominent personalities, including Mr. Praveen Singh (Director –Financial Services, Al Mulla Group) Mr. Govind Rasam( Vice President Square Yards) Mr. Muneer Mamoon, (General Manager- Al Babtain Auto) Mr. Ayyoob Kachery (Director- Grand Hypermarket) Finance Services, Al Mulla Group; Mr. S. Dawoud, Managing Director, Deccan Palace Restaurant; Mr. Sharafudheen Kanneth(CEO-Medx Medical Group) and Mr. James Paul owner of KRI Co. along with other respected members of the business and Indian expatriate communities.
Marketing representatives from leading organizations also attended, including Caesars Foods & Confectionary, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Z & M General Trading Co. Bhasin Co. In his concluding address, the President of ICS expressed sincere appreciation to the distinguished guests, sponsors, community leaders, participating artists, volunteers, technical staff, media partners, and the audience. He acknowledged their invaluable contributions and reaffirmed ICS’s commitment to strengthening Indo-Kuwait friendship through meaningful cultural initiatives.
The evening culminated in a powerful and emotionally charged patriotic finale, with the singers joining Alamgir Khan in performing the iconic song:
“Dil Diya Hai, Jaan Bhi Denge, Ae Watan Tere Liye!”
