The 'Ignore No More' app helps parents take charge of their children’s smartphones
A Texas mom got tired of her children ignoring her phone calls. So, she went ahead and taught herself how to develop an app and created ‘Ignore No More’.
She wanted an app that would just shut her kids’ phones down completely so that they could not even use it.
Once parents install the app on the phones of their wards, they will be able to take charge of their children’s smartphones when they think that the kids are ignoring their calls and messages. The parents just need to type in their children’s names and enter a four–digit code.
This will automatically lock their phones immediately.
Once the phone is locked, the child will not be able to play games, access the Internet, or call anybody else until they first return the ignored calls and messages.
Emergency services numbers can be dialled even when the phone is locked.
The creator knows that the app works since her son responds to her calls and texts a lot sooner than he used to. According to the website of the app, children will not be able to uninstall the app or kill it.
If they ever try to do the same, their phones will be automatically locked and the parents will receive an email saying that the child was trying to tamper with the app.
Priced at $1.99 in Google Play, the app works with only a limited number of versions of Android phones.
If the user reviews are anything to go by, a number of users are facing some glitches with the app. For example, once the app is installed, the person can no longer lock his phone.
This makes the device extremely vulnerable to theft or personal data being accessed. The app is a very good way of teaching children how to respect their parents’ concerns and that they always have their best interests at heart.
