Surya Priya - Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam CSIR fellowship

Suryapriya1Surya Priya from Tirunelveli, Tamilnadu pursuing three years of her B.Tech course, with the guidance of her faculties, she was able to open up her research writing skills, with which she had applied for 2-3 national level fellowships and has been successfully selected in one of the top offered, once in a year, fellowship - *Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam CSIR fellowship*.

Suryapriya2This fellowship is offered for dual degrees and master's level students/graduates, top 20 of the nation, every once in a year. With an allocated project, they expect the students to complete it by staying in their respective campus for 2 months.

Surya Priya, daughter of Er. G. Ulaganathan, has done her primary education in Carmel school of Kuwait and secondary education in Pushpalata Vidya Mandir CBSE, Tirunelveli.

After securing 10 CGPA, school first in 10th standard, she chose Bio Maths group and scored 482/500, securing District first in CBSE, featuring in “The Hindu” News Paper.

Once schooling was completed, she searched and chose B. Tech + M. Tech dual degree from Amity University Rajasthan, in the subject of Cognitive and Neuro Sciences, because the new field excited and inspired her to do something new and innovative.

It is a complete research field oriented towards understanding and therapeutically improving the nervous system. The course is a part of Converging Technology, at present only in two places in India, and known as NBIC technology outside India. Here the principle believed is Multidisciplinary and *Jack of all trades and master of one*.
