Tamil Karpor Kuzhumam started in the year 2010 with 2 students by Vijayapriya Ramanan a social worker, public speaker and a well-known person among the Tamil Community in Kuwait (with the intention to teach the kids the language for which there is no formal schools in Kuwait and our traditional and cultural values). The Tamil language is one of the ancient languages of the world. It is predominantly spoken by Tamil people of Tamil Nadu. The earliest known inscription dates back to at least 500BC. It is a language with rich and vast literature. There are almost 1.5 lakhs Tamil speaking Indians working in Kuwait. It is of great pleasure to TKK to intend to teach Tamil to these kids.
Tamil Karpor Kuzhumam involves children in Debates, Thirukural Recitation, Thirupavai Recitation and enacting in Dramas.(Dramas about our Freedom Fighters, VO Chidhambaranar and the importance of farming);Every year they take the students out for a picnic; also a simple program is conducted to appreciate the kids for their learning.
Whenever there's a social need TKK parents are coming forward immediately to contribute and now Tamil Karpor Kuzhumam Kuwait help several jobless Indians due to Corono Pandemic through The Indian Frontliners and ICSG Indian Community Service Group guided by the Indian Embassy of Kuwait.
Seeing Covid-19 and the effect on the Indian people in Kuwait, TKK felt the need of some humanitarian helps which was discussed with the parents of the children and requested some contributions to help the people in Kuwait who have lost their jobs due to the curfew and struggling to earn their needs.
With a great support from the parents, TKK could mobilize a good amount and has started the distribution of things to the needy people with the guidance of Indian Frontliners.
The Indian people received the benefits thanked Tamil Karpor Kuzhumam for its noble services.
There is a sense of satisfaction to all the budding young children who are not only learning Tamil and also mankind.
