Millions of people have come from India to Gulf in the past to better the living standards of their families. Dr.K.T.Rabiullah, who came from Malappuram, Kerala to Saudi Arabia more than 30 years ago to join a construction company, was one of them. Like others, he too saw the construction workers toiling under difficult climatic conditions and leading a life-style on a low-salary that made even essential / emergency medical health care unaffordable and deterioration in health an expected consequence for them. But the strong empathy he felt for his fellow workers made him to set his life’s mission then and there itself – “To Provide quality medical treatment at affordable price to low and middle class people in Gulf”.
The concept of Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Centre, which took roots in his mind among the desert sands of Saudi Arabia, has today spread its branches of shade to other Gulf Countries, bringing relief and cheers to the NRI workers. Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Centers in Saudi Arabia (Riyadh & Jeddah), Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait (Farwaniya & Fahaheel) have established sustained reputation for providing excellent health care treatment to all its patients.

To be the vice-chairman for such a prestigious hospital group under the Chairmanship of Dr.K.T.Rabiullah, a person is required to have exceptional talents, entrepreneurial skills and excellent attitude. Ms. Naziha Mohammed Rabeeh, daughter of Dr.K.T.Rabiullah had all those and a lot more captivating qualities – inherited from him as well as those inspired by him. No wonder she has proved herself as an excellent and able administrator.
Ms.Naziha has a charming smile with pleasant demeanor and exudes confidence and capability. “Women normally take up job or business to earn income to support the family. But in my case, thanks to the grace of God and my father’s hard work, there was no financial pressure on me to take up work. However, having watched my father strive successfully to make his dream of providing affordable health service to NRI workers in Gulf become a concrete reality, I had a keen desire to join him in this noble venture driven by a social objective”.

Ms.Naziha’s dad used to tell her “Have a smile and exhibit a pleasant looking face always which will help to create a good atmosphere and result the better among best. We should not expose our angry or problems to others.”
She worked in a private company in Dubai to experience the ground realities as a new entrant in a commercial organization before joining her father’s business at Shifa Al-Jazeera as vice-chairman. She was told by her father not to expect any special privilege in the company or develop an ego because of her executive position. There was no fear of that happening anyway. With people like her father Dr.K.T.Rabiullah and ex-president of India Dr.Kalam being her role model, Ms.Naziha likes simplicity and sincerity in all her actions.

Ms.Naziha always respects the workers and listens to the opinions of senior technicians with an open mind. “I make it a point to meet all their reasonable expectations and keep them happy”. Perhaps, that is the reason why patients at Shifa Al-Jazeera find every staff and employee of the hospital carrying out their duties and responsibilities with full zeal and enthusiasm.
Ms.Naziha intends to complete MBA studies in Hospital health care. “It is not just for the degree certificate, but as a measure of my personal development and effectiveness in my career”. Her hobbies include reading biographies of great people and achievers and picking up their good qualities for emulation by her.
Like her father, she too has moulded her mind on the lines of Mahatma Gandhi’s sayings “One becomes great exactly in the degree in which one works for the welfare of one’s fellow men.” More than earning profits from Business, running it with an underlying service spirit and getting more like-minded people to join the company are the future plans she holds for the company. “After all, in Life, all that is really worth the doing is what we do for others, isn’t it?” quips the ever smiling, worthy daughter of the noble father.
