Legendary sprinter Milkha Singh, the 1958 Commonwealth Games champion and 1960 Rome Olympian, passed away on Friday after contracting the Covid-19 virus on May 20 and after month-long battle. His wife, Nirmal Kaur, who was the former national volleyball captain also passed away earlier this week, due to the deadly virus. He was 91 and is survived by his golfer son Jeev Milkha Singh and three daughters.
