Among the 12 government institutions and companies for which preliminary studies have been conducted as part of the proposed privatization process are Kuwait Airport, according to the provisions of the Law Regulating Privatization Programs and Operations and its implementing regulations.

Al-Anba daily reported that a preliminary study in this regard does not mean the airport will be privatized.

As the sources pointed out, privatization requires legal procedures, which include the approval of the Supreme Council for Privatization and the presentation to the Council of Ministers for approval, and before that, accurate, comprehensive and specialized studies will be prepared, pointing out that this study was prepared many years ago.
