ICSK AMMAN CONDUCTED SENATE INVESTITURE CEREMONY
ICSK bestows upon its students the ability to be future leaders of the world’. Keeping up with this thought, Indian Commuunity School Kuwait organized Investiture Ceremony of the student council elected for the various posts for the academic year 2014-15 on 15th May 2014 in the school auditorium. Rev. Fr. Lional Bragansa, Principal, IEAS Salmiya Kuwait was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
The Vice Principal welcomed the Chief Guest, Board members Mr. Ajay George, PAC Members Mr. Mohammed Rafi Padiyath, Mr. Alex Joseph, Mrs. Shilpa Reddy and Mr. Jacob C. Abraham, briefed the audience on the purpose of Student Council was to provide a rich learning opportunity that would play a pivotal role in the holistic development of the students. She also elaborated on how the present body took shape through a transparent process of election and selection conducted over a period of three weeks.
She announced the names of School’s student Senate for 2014-2015 led by President --Dhruv Sharma, Vice President Dona Ajay, Sports Captain-- Bradely, Asst.Sports Captain ---Shuaib Eliyas, Arts Club Secretary --Jennifer D’souza, Asst.Arts Club Secretary --Steffi Biju, House Captain (Seva)—Abdulla Sabbir, Asst. House Captain (Seva) ---Kevin Mathew, House Captain (Santosh)– Zubeda Nikhat ,Asst.House Captain (Santosh)--Fouzan.M, House Captain (Sahyog)—Hanan .M, Asst.House Captain (Sahyog)---Harsh Varia, House Captain (Shanti) –Taha Juzer, Asst.House Captain(Shanti)—Thanweer.

The school choir provided an apt ambience of solemnity and serenity for the progamme.
The Chief Guest had earlier conferred the badges on the Ceremonial Heads & House Coordinators while the Board Members, Principal and PAC members did the honours for the General Prefects. Meanwhile, the House Counsellors awarded badges to their Captain, Vice Captain and House Prefects.
The Principal administered the oath of office to the newly elected members and urged them to uphold the values their alma mater stands for and also to live up to the expectations of the school and infinite trust and confidence reposed in them by the teachers.
In his inspiring speech the Chief Guest Rev.Fr., Lional Bragansa implored the student leaders to perform their duties with responsibility, dedication and motivated the senators to be alive, alert, awake and enthusiastic. It was indeed a defining moment for the entire gathering.
The Senate President Dhruv Sharma on behalf of student council delivered his acceptance speech. He thanked the Principal and teachers for their immense faith and support given to the Council and the opportunity given to them to serve the school. He reiterated the whole hearted support of his team in helping the school scale greater heights in the days to come.
The solemn ceremony concluded with a Vote of thanks proposed by the Senate Advisor Mrs.Aleyamma Satheesh thanking especially the Chief guest for the esteemed presence and extending gratitude to every other member for the involvement and commitment for making this event a success.
