ICSK KHAITAN INVESTS ITS SENATE 2014-15

The Indian Community School, Kuwait (Khaitan branch) had organizedthe investiture ceremony of its Students’ Council Senate-2014-15 on Wednesday 21st May, 2014.

The investiture ceremony started with the recitation of the verses from the Holy Quran followed by the national anthem of Kuwait.

On this auspicious occasion, ICSK, Khaitan was delighted to have an eminent army veteran and defence personnel Retd Brigadier Sushil Bhasin as chief guest. Mr. Bhasin is the chairman and managing director of Empower Activity Camps, a corporate training and adventure company with focus on experimental learning in outdoor environment

Mr. Santosh Samuel, parent Representative to the ICSK, Board of trustees, Mr. Shibu Pallickal and Nebu Pallickal from the Indian Frontliners with the newly elected PAC members were the guests of honour.

ICSK follows the democratic system of elections. The students from classes VI to X exercise their franchise. It instills in them a civic sense and a greater sense of responsibility. It also helps to develop leadership qualities.

The members of the senate were administered the oath of office by the Principal Mr. K. G. Shirsath. They then received their badges.

Brigadier Sushil Bhasin, great defence personnel known for his discipline, leadership and team building skills with his gracious presence made the ceremony magnificent, solemn and impressive. He is a man with simple yet powerful philosophy that drives him relentlessly at training people to reach their real potential: “Energy comes naturally when your work is in line with your passion”. He is a great leader with varied and extensive experience in training. In his very inspirational interaction with the newly elected senate, he emphasized the basic qualities of human beings to be disciplined, to possess team building skills together with the beneficial use of technology.

The music prodigies of the school presented a melody of inspirational songs with their orchestra which left the gathering mesmerized with their show.

The senate rose up to the occasion by joining as one to sing the age old song “Hum Honge Kaamyaab”/ We shall Overcome.

The President of the senate Vimal Vinod expressed the heartfelt vote of thanks in the end on behalf of the entire senate for the receiving the honour towards all. The august programme ended with Indian national anthem.
