Children are truly the gift from heaven. We can perceive the blessings of the  Almighty in every child. Every child born ushers in a sublime hope that is larger  than our vision. Wordsworth appropriately stated that the child is the father of the  man and to honour the true treasures of the school the children's day was  celebrated on 18 November, 2015 in Indian Community School Senior, Kuwait ;   commemorating the birthday of  the first Prime Minister of  India, Pandit  Jawaharlal Nehru.
The celebrations commenced with the ceremonial welcoming of the students into  the campus by the ICSK fraternity with the Principal Dr. V. Binumon at its helm.  The special assembly conducted by the teachers was dedicated to the students as a  token of their love and appreciation. The function was blessed with the benign  presence of  Mr. Vijay Karayil , Honorary Secretary to the Board of Trustees,  members of the Board and the Parent Advisory Council. The purpose of the event was to bring out the  true essence of education. It aimed at inspiring children to seek perfection so as to  create a lasting impression. Children are usually repulsive towards advice but receptive to love and attention.
Thus the captivating performances by the staff added colour to the show and  instilled a sense of responsibility to their roots as they soar high on the wings of  independence.  Mrs. Niva Elna Varghese, Mrs. Manjumitra Sarath and Mrs. Meena  Gaur mesmerised the audience with their beautiful movements and intricate  footwork which rendered a classical touch to the event.
The gathering was  entertained with the melodious rendition of popular numbers by Mr. M. U. Mathew  and Mrs Rathy V. S . The event winded off with the vote of thanks by the staff Co-  ordinator Mrs. Usha . R. Chocolates and refreshments were distributed to the  students by the school as a token of their love. The delightful show concluded with  the signing off the hosts  Mr. Sunish Mathew and Mrs. Sheeba.C leaving the  children pleading for more.
