ENGLISH WEEK OBSERVED AT IISM

 ‘Rediscover, Revive, and Relive English’ was the slogan that echoed in the campus of India International School for the past one week as the school celebrated English week from 15 to 19 November 2015.It was organized with the aim of spreading awareness among students about the growing importance of English as a global language.The students and teachers from classes I - XII together made a panoramic week of events where students learnt to enjoy and explore the world of English. To spice up the occasion, the English department did a marvelous job by unrolling the events through school assemblies, classroom activities and competitions.

In order to motivate and enhance students’ interest in English language, they were involved in language games, story-telling, role plays, choral recitation, one-act play,character presentation, spell bee competition, extempore, declamation etc.

 Special emphasize was given on the importance of reading among the primary class students, by giving topics encompassing library, books, authors, poets and publications of regional, national and international fame. The areas were extensively researched and presented in the form of role plays, discussion and debate. All the activities were marked by the mass participation of the students.

The collaborative effort of the teachers and students made the performance amazing. The enthusiastic support of the management boosted the drive to come up with innovative ideas. The school Director, Mr. Malayil Moosa Koya, Principal, Mr. F.M Basheer Ahmed and the Vice Principals appreciated the teachers and the students for their great effort.
