Unparalleled Sports Achievements of ICSK
ICSK BAGS KUWAIT-CLUSTER ATHLETIC CHAMPIONSHIP FOR 14th TIME;
WINNING STREAK CONTINUES WITH 4 NEW MEET RECORDS & 6 INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The athletic team of the Indian Community School, Kuwait set a record with an unparalleled 14th consecutive Championship Trophy at the recently concluded 17th CBSE Kuwait-Cluster Athletics Meet 2015. ICSK won the trophy by securing 353 points. Also to the credit of ICSK athletes are 20 gold medals, 16 silver and 13 bronze medals. Commendably, 4 new meet records and 6 individual championships were bagged by the champion school.
Christa Filo Vincent set the meet record with her high jump win in U-19 girls’ category. Jijo Jacob won the 1st position in 200m U-16 boys’ category and set new meet record. Dinah Stephen set meet record with her victory in the 100mts. U-14 girls’ category. The 4X100 mts U-16 boys’ relay event was won by the ICSK team comprising Jijo Fernandes, Favin Fernandes, Terrence Braganza, Cyrus Rodrigues and Athil Umar Kari.
The individual champions from ICSK are Dinah Stephen of class VIII, Jijo Jacob of class X, Christa Vincent of class XI, David Thomas of class X, Craig Rodrigues of class XII and Janet D’Souza of class XII.
ICSK was also declared the category champions in the U-14 Girls’, U-16 Boys’, U-19 Girls’ and U-19 Boys’ categories.
The management, staff and students of the ICSK extend hearty congratulations to athletes and physical education teachers of the school who continue to bring laurels to the school.
