‘Inner Wheel’ on Motion at IISM

Kuwait: ‘Inner Wheel’, the mothers’ club of India International School Mangaf held its annual meet for the mothers of class I and II students on 11^th February 2017. The idea of forming a mothers’ club was proposed by the school’s Director, Mr. Malayil Moosa Koya as it will strengthen the bond between the school and the parents creating a much more homely atmosphere for the students.  As a start an enriching and thought provoking talk on ‘Healthy Eating Habits in Children’ was given by Mrs. Vanaja Reddy. The speaker expressed her concern that the healthy food habits inculcated by our mothers and grandmothers, is now largely replaced by fast food. She also threw light on the harmful effects of junk food and the importance of breakfast.

It was followed by tips on easy and attractive luncheon for kids monitored by Mrs. Tufellunnisa. Preparation of easy and healthy mouth watering sandwiches was demonstrated by her, and the aroma of the palatable sandwich filled the air providing sensory pleasure and enhanced their appetite.

The next segment was handled by Mrs. Dhanya who discussed ‘Effective Parenting’ giving practical ideas on how to handle children in difficult situations. It was followed by a demonstration of constructive reusing of household materials for kids’ projects by Mrs. Afifa. The programme came to an end with the vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Nadhira. The event was graced by the school Director, Mr. Malayil Moosa Koya, Principal Mr. F. M. Basheer Ahmed, Sr. Vice Principal, Mrs. Narinder Kaur and Vice Principals Mrs. Sophy John and Mrs. Indulekha.
