FAIPS Hosts Fifth Inter School Art Competition

On the 22nd of April, FAIPS (Fahaheel Al-Watanieh Indian Private School), Ahmadi, hosted an Inter School Art Competition. Around 200 students from 10 schools covering 5 categories participated with great gusto.

Colours splashing everywhere, there was a festive atmosphere and the students created marvellous art pieces. Eminent personalities like Mr. Kondal Raj, Mr. Jasim, Ms. Anuradha Anand and Ms. Molshri were invited to judge the art pieces. Mr. Kondal Raj of S.S. Manian Art Foundationis a renowned artist and art teacher in Kuwait. He has a passion for portrait making. Ms. Molshri Saksena, a certified Grumbacher Art Instructor from Canada, loves to experiment with different art styles using oil and acrylic paints. Ms. Anuradha has done a five year degree course at the college of arts and crafts in Chennai and has a keen interest in charcoal sketching. Mr. Jasim is an art designer with Alghanim, Kuwait. He takes keen interest in encouraging young artists. As the judgement was conducted, the students were entertained with a McDonalds show.

FAIPS stood first in the overall position followed by Indian Educational School and Smart Indian School in the second and third positions, respectively. It was a successful event sponsored by KDD, LIC, Kidzania, Malabar, GEANT, Move N Pick and Curry Leaves. The Principal of Fahaheel Al Watanieh Indian Private School, Mrs. Anju Dheman and the sponsors graced the occasion and gave away the prizes. Mrs. Anju Dheman appreciated the enthusiasm with which the students took part and displayed their talent in the competition. She spoke about the importance of participation as against winning and this was a great motivation to all the kids present there. Kudos to the art department of FAIPS (DPS) for organizing this event!
