Shaping Little Minds: Wonder Clay Models at SIS

Shaping Little Minds: Wonder Clay Models at SIS

cmDid you ever notice that when you give a piece of clay to children, they tend to play with it for a longer time than an ordinary toy? For adults it may not mean much but children are naturally fascinated, motivated and excited every time they create a new shape with clay.

The Kindergarten wing of the Smart Indian School held a clay modeling competition to enhance the motor skills of children and foster sensory development in them.

Children created beautiful models using different colors of clay based on the theme allotted to them. There were models of junk food, beautiful aquatic animals and various toys.

Each model was made beautifully with an imprint of the child’s imagination of its kind. It was indeed a wonderful display of creativity.  Judgment was done on the basis of creativity, neatness and its presentation.
