SELF GOVERNANCE DAY AT ICSK AMMAN

The student Senate of The Indian Community School Kuwait, Amman celebrated Teachers’ Day as Self Governance Day on Thursday 25th October, 2018 to pay tribute to all their teachers. This day is observed to commemorate the birthday of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, philosopher and the second President of India. The school senate and the Class X students shouldered the responsibility to run the school for this day. The Senate President Ervin Castelino took charge as Principal and Rachel Suzen Cibhu as Vice Principal. As per the time table, the student teachers of Class X engaged the Classes from KG to IX. Thus, they got an opportunity to

  

understand the value of the noble profession of a teacher. The school senate organized and conducted a special assembly to entertain their teachers on their special day. Children treated their beloved teachers with graceful dance performances, melodious music, mime and games. It was well appreciated as it included performances from tiny tots to high school students. Our teachers added colour to the programme with their sportive participation. The programme of the day instilled in the students a sense of responsibility and rejuvenated the spirit of the teachers to look for a fresh dawn where their noble contribution will beget a smarter generation for the future. Principal Mr. Rajesh Nair appreciated the senate for executing this responsibility in a meticulous manner.
