‘’BEST PERFORMANCE’’ ACCOLADES TO ICSK AT IBPC-AIP AWARDS CEREMONY

The Indian Community School which was established on the 5th of May 1959 has since its inception, been rendering exceptional educational services to the Indian diaspora by rendering first-rate training for Indian children at the board examinations. ICSK aims to be an institution of distinction where children can achieve full potential in their academic, creative, personal, moral, and spiritual development.

In recognition of the endeavors for excellence of the school, the Indian Business & Professional Council of Kuwait (AIP), an organization, which aims to motivate the younger generations of the Indian schools in Kuwait, the Indian Community School has been selected as the best performing school for the AISSCE & AISSE (2017-2018). It is to be noted that sixteen CBSE schools from Kuwait made their bid for the coveted IBPC awards and the ICSK was declared as the top scorer for AISSCE & AISSE (2017- 2018). The school was awarded two overall trophies and mementos for ‘Best Performing School’.

The unrivaled team was led by the achievers of the Science stream which include Mast. Karthikeyan Suresh, Miss Sneha Sridharan & Miss Abimathi Ananth scored a 97.4%. The Commerce stream topper Miss Nitya Kapoor scored 95.8% while Miss Gayathri Nair & Miss Batul Husaini Daliwala of Humanities Stream achieved 91.2%.

The centum scorers of each subject of class 12 are Mast. Nilay Praful Kumar Thummar in Mathematics and Master Karthikeyan Suresh in Chemistry who were honoured with the Silver Medal and certificate from council officers at the ceremony. The IBPC also felicitated the students who scored 95% and above with the Bronze Medal & certificates: Miss Mereeba Ann Thomas, Master Shabbir Murtaza, Master Nilay Praful Kumar Thummar, Miss Athira Sreela Reviprasad, Master Hanan Hashim, Miss Miria Johnson & Master Tariq Ahmed.

The highfliers of class 10 received the Silver Medals and certificates from The Indian Business & Professional Council of Kuwait :  Miss Aiswarya Harigopal ,Master Timothy Thomas George, Master  Hussain Mustafa Shafique , Miss Sandra Shajan, Master Dheeraj Ramesh, Master Gautam Prakash, Miss Jessica Henry Serrao, Master Alvin Manoj Alex, Miss Amani Anwarhusen K and Miss Deena Elsa George.

Bronze Medals and Certificates were time-honored by Master Gautam Prakash, Master John Harshith Kavuturu ,  Master Deepak Kumar Tripathy, Master Rudra Vipul, Master Sidharth Sudheer, Master Timothy Thomas, Miss Faiza Sultana, Miss Aleena Anna Aby, Miss Shivani Rajiv Menon and Miss Lakshmi Seema Pramod.

The top-notch ICSKians include seventy-four students of class 12 who are A1 scorers (90% & above) and 141 students who are A2 scorers (80% & above). In Class 10, hundred and ten students secured A1 grades (90% & above) and hundred and twenty-two students recorded A2 grades (80% & above).

All the meritorious students were felicitated by the Principal & Senior Administrator of the school, Dr V. Binumon at the school assembly. The Principal stated that, ‘No student can ever achieve great heights without the great support and guidance from their teachers’. The knowledge gurus were honored for their diligent and dedicated efforts.
