ICSK Khaitan celebrated the 150th Birth Anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on 4th of February, 2019 with lot of zeal and positivity.

Program commenced with the recital of Holy Quran and followed by Kuwait’s national anthem.
“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others” was the thought of the day, reiterated our social responsibility as citizens of India to fulfill Gandhiji's vision of Clean India, by his 150th birth anniversary in 2019,
Chief Guest Mr. Sanjeev Saklani, 2nd Secretary (PIC-Education) to the Indian Embassy at Kuwait, lit the lamp along with Principal Mr. K Gangadhar Shirsath and Vice Principal Mr. Ravi Ayanoli. In his address, Principal Gangadhar welcomed the chief guest and briefly shared the essence of Gandhiyan thoughts with the students.
Chief Guest Mr. Saklani, stressed the need of inculcating the core values of Mahatma Gandhi amongst students to develop a healthy body and mind which is essential to build a strong and caring nation. He was also kind enough to donate few books on Gandhiji to the School Library
Students paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by putting up a stage show “BANDE MEIN THA DUM”, and enthralled the audience by their captivating performance. This was followed by a documentary, quiz, role play and a group song on Mahatma Gandhi. A prize distribution ceremony was held for the winners of Poster & Pencil Sketching Competition held as part of the celebration.
A special cleanliness drive was also conducted in school to practice Gandhian teaching of cleanliness as the entire school campus was cleaned by the students on this day.
Vote of thanks was given by the Vice Principal, Mr. Ravi and the program was concluded by singing of the Indian national anthem.
