Kuwait National Day and Liberation Day Assembly - ICSK Junior

The Indian Community School Kuwait, Junior branch, celebrated Kuwait National and Liberation Day with grandeur.

Special assemblies were conducted to grace the occasion.   Our Principal Mrs. Sherly Dennis hoisted the Kuwait flag. Kuwait National Anthem was beautifully played on violin by a student. IFL An appropriate thought for the day "A great man shows his greatness by the way he treats little men" was delivered by the student. Speeches were delivered in Arabic and English highlighting the importance and significance of Kuwait National day and Liberation day.   Melodious Kuwait patriotic group songs were rendered by the students.It is a matter of honour and pride for all the residents of Kuwait to know that Kuwait’s name has entered in the Guinness book of World Records. IFL A sample of the longest flag was shown. A traditional Arabic dance was performed by the students that received great applause from one and all. Dramatic plays were enacted show casing the sequences of gulf war and Kuwait's liberation from Iraqi invasion.  

Kuwait is a country of rich culture, customs and tradition. Glimpses of these culture and tradition were shown through a fantabulous fashion show. Students displayed old as well as modern culture and outfits. They also displayed Kuwait’s important land marks and official carrier.  This was followed by a colourful and power packed ' sword dance'. Students danced to the tune of Arabic foot tapping number.

KG classes celebrated this as a special day.  Students came to school decked up in Kuwait flag colours.  Activities were also conducted in the class for the little ones.

Principal Mrs. Sherly Dennis addressed the students. She wished all the students and congratulated them for putting up a wonderful assembly.
