Salmiya Indian Model School (SIMS) Holds Investiture Ceremony

SALMIYA INDIAN MODEL SCHOOL(SIMS) HOLDS INVESTITURE CEREMONY

Salmiya Indian Model School (SIMS) organized Investiture Ceremony on Thursday, 2nd of May 2019.In a solemn ceremony, graced by the presence of Chief Guest Dr. SheikhaMymoona Al Sabah , SIMS Director Dr. Anis Ahmad, Sponsor representative Mr. Ahmad Ibrahim Dashti and other distinguished guests, the newly elected student council members were formally invested with the office of authority.

The ceremony started with Islamic prayer followed by the National Anthems of Kuwait and India. The newly elected council members brimmed with confidence and discipline. They marched into the beat of their drums in all their glory.

SIMS director Dr. Anis Ahmad welcomed the gathering and thanked the guests for their magnanimity in lending their support to the occasion.

The highlight of the day was the badge ceremony whereby the formal induction of the student council members took place. The elected students were presented with the badges of their respective designation. This was followed by handing over of the flags to the new house captains. SIMS Director Dr. Anis Ahmad  administered the oath of office taken by school council members.

The Chief Guest Dr. Mymoona Al Sabah in her speech congratulated the newly elected council members and asked them to lead the way and take the school to higher pinnacles.

The Head Boy Adam Abraham and the Head Girl Shizaa Shiraz in their acceptance speech thanked Salmiya Indian Model School for providing a platform for developing the qualities of leadership.

This was followed by honouring the meritorious students with scholar badges for doing exceedingly well in academics. The recipients consisted of hardworking and high aiming students who received scholar badge with great dignity from SIMS Principal for the academic excellence during  the year 2018-2019.Certificates were also distributed among the students who scored 100% in National Math Olympiad competition. The Ceremony came to an end wih the vote of thanks proposed by the English HOD Ms. Humera Baba who expressed her gratitude to the Guests and the parents for being the part of the ceremony and encouraging the newly elected council members.

The audience which included the proud parents and the galaxy of dignitaries were entertained by the school choir with their beautiful and soulful song “ Make me the channel of your peace...”

The ceremony came to an end with a Group Photo session of the newly elected student council members , who stood on the stage with pride and dignity as, they were bestowed with the responsibility of leading their school from the front with commitment, confidence and competence.

At SIMS potential leaders of tomorrow are groomed, developed and raised in a miniature world of an education institution through diverse portfolios that are offered to mark a difference.
