ICSK SENIOR ARTS FEST BEGINS WITH A COLOURFUL START

The Paradigm art fest got off to a colourful start on 1st and 2nd May 2019 in four different stages. The gala event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr. Karlfred Bergner who is the German Ambassador to Kuwait. He was given a warm welcome by the Principal and Senior Administrator of ICSK Senior,Dr. V. Binumon and the charming students of ICSK. The inaugural function rolled out at 8.40 a.m with the words from the holy Quran and subsequently a prayer song by the school music band, Swaranjali. In return, the chief Gust delivered a thanksgiving gesture after the lighting of the lamp followed by the German National Anthem. Mr. Karlfred the German Ambassador to Kuwait, developing a positive outlook towards arts, said that these types of art festivals would help develop the personality of the children and aid in cultivating social aptitude.

He proudly ranked the Indian society of Kuwait as one of the best community appreciating various social activities, the most prominent amongst them being in the field of education. He further advocated the students to find something more from their heart in the benefit of the society they are a part of. The Principal Dr. V. Binumon presented a memento to the Chief Guest as a token of gratitude and appreciation.

After the art fest PARADIGM was declared open, the students of ICSK Senior, performed a musical extravaganza, “SOORYAAMSHAM”.

The Art Fest Paradigm with full glory and revel was celebrated with complete grandeur for two long days consisting of offstage and onstage competitions.  Through these competitions, the children bagged the golden opportunity to showcase their talents and creative finesse. There were a large number of offstage and onstage items.

A humungous number of students participated in the competitions with full zeal and zest. Sumptuous meals were offered to the students and the staff of ICSK on both the days of this cultural extravaganza.

Numerous variety and diversifying dance fusions, both cinematic and classical forms, were staged by the students. The poem recital and extempore competitions in all three categories revealed the oratory skills and expertise in the students. Multitudinous students in all the three categories unveiled an array of cultural motifs through various dance forms. A number of students bagged the first, second and third positions.

The musical orchestra competitions, “Battle of Bands”, displayed creativity and dexterity of the students. A variety number of individual and group dances were staged and expertly judged.

On 2nd May, 5.30 p.m, as the curtain was about to fall, a valedictory function was arranged for the Guest of Honour, Mr. Mohammed Salah Khureibat, Inspector, Ministry of private Education, who graced the occasion with his esteemed presence.

The function rolled out with the recital of the Holy Quran followed by the prayer song by team Swaranjali. The Principal Dr. V Binumon delivered the welcome address and the Guest of Honour, Mr. Mohammed Salah Khureibat lighted the lamp and addressed the gathering.IFL Kuwait job news

The child prodigies who bagged the first, second and third positions in all the three categories were honoured and awarded the Kalathilak and The Kalaprathibha trophies. The house that scored the maximum points in the competitions was awarded the trophy.

For category 3 boys section….Johann Premjith bagged the Kalaprathibha award, and for category 3 girls… the Kalathilak was adorned on Aabida Rafik Chikte. In category 4, for boys…Joven Cheruparambil Jose was declared the Kalaprathibha and amongst girls, it was Anjana Revi Prasad who was awarded the Kalathilak. For category 5 boys, it was Deon Prince Dsouza who was declared the Kalaprathibha and amongst girls it was Kavya Vaidyanathan who bagged the Kalathilak award. There were approximately 264 awardees on the day of Paradigm.

The best of the cultural programmes were staged as a final showdown to the two day long ethnic and artistic fiesta. Towards the end, the Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Deputy Vice Principal of ICSK Senior, Mrs. Susan Rajesh.

An evening worth watching………………….
