GANDHI JAYANTHIKids International Preschool Mangaf celebrated Gandhi Jayanthi on 02/10/19 (Wednesday). The students of Little Pearl and Unique Star started the special assembly with a brief look into on the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.

The tiny tots shed light on Gandhiji’s invaluable contribution in India’s freedom struggle and how his principles of truth and non - violence are still remembered today. A mime act depicting the importance of peace and harmony was performed by the students under the guidance of their teachers. The students laid emphasis on non – GANDHI JAYANTHIViolence with the thought “Anger is the enemy of non- violence and pride is a monster that swallows it up”.

The School Director of India International School (Mangaf) Mr.Malayil Moosa Koya presided over the function and expressed the importance of the powerful tool of “non-violence” given to us by Mahatma Gandhi and said that it is our social responsibility as citizens of India to help fulfill Mahatma’s vision of clean India. Principal Mrs.Nolifar Qazi paid homage to Ghandhiji on his Birth anniversary and also talked to children about Lal Bahadur Shastri one of the Prime Minister’s of India , whose birth date coincided with Mahatma Gandhi. Vice Principal Mrs.Gayathri Bhaskaran and Admin Manager Mrs.Najiya Khader appreciated the efforts taken by teachers and student and emphasized that the objective of such celebrations is to remind ourselves of our past and the ways to cherish the greatness of our nation. 

 The assembly ended with the students marking their respect by singing “ Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram ………” which aptly matched the principles of our “ Father of the Nation” followed by National Anthem.
