IES rings in patriotic fervour on Republic Day
The 71st Republic Day was celebrated by Bhavanites airing sublime spirit of patriotism and matchless pride of being Indians at Indian Education School, Kuwait on January 26, 2020. The celebrations, organized by the Department of Physical Education, kicked off with the grand Republic Day parade by the School Supreme Council and BSS Cadets. Mr. T. Premkumar, Principal IES, Kuwait, unfurled the Indian National Flag amid thunderous applause in the presence of Ms. Anselma Tessy, Vice Principal, Senior Wing, Ms. Jaemi Byju, Vice Principal, Middle Wing, Ms. Lalitha Premkumar, Vice Principal, KG and Primary Wings and Ms. Meenakshi Nayyar, Vice Principal CCA, IES Kuwait staff and parents.
The vibrant and vigorous voice of the gathering inclusive of teachers, parents and students reverberated around the school premises with “Bharat Matha Ki Jai”. The National Anthem cast a patriotic spell. The flag swaying in the wind triggered a rush of adrenaline in the veins. The Principal shared the message of the President of India on Republic Day. The august gathering was overwhelmed by the patriotic songs rendered by the teachers and their patriotic zeal was incredible.
Savouring the sweets and exchanging warm greetings, the zealous Indians bid adieu to the school premises after saluting the great tri-colour fabric- the Indian flag- that spoke volumes on the martyrs of India’s Freedom Struggle.
