The session started off at 9.30 a.m. with the theme ‘Raising Alarm and Rising Awareness’. When the whole world is faced with an acute crisis due to COVID 19, it is crucially important to have a session of this magnitude to understand how, mankind as a whole, can successfully overcome this difficult situation. The event hosted two committees, the General Assembly which was an ‘Emergency Session to Actively Combat the Growing Severity of the COVID 19 Pandemic’ and the Economic and Financial Council that focused on ‘The Aftermath of COVID 19 and its Disastrous Effects on the Global Economy’. The event witnessed a strong clash of ideologies of 65 diplomats of tomorrow, representing 9 different schools in the Middle East. The debates and discussions lasted for good five hours in both the committees. The sessions ended with successfully drafting and passing resolutions to combat the severity and after effects of the pandemic.
