It always remains a special day for the Indian diaspora to enjoy the sweet joy of remembrance in this second homeland, Kuwait. Due to the prevailing circumstances, the joy of togetherness was limited to virtual mode, but the spirit of the victorious day remained afresh in the minds of the viewers. India’s presidential address on this Independence Day was read by the school Principal to help us remember the essence of the day and stay connected in all paths of life. A colourful dance was brought out by the group of students filling the aura with festive view. The splendid performances by the Primary students representing the freedom fighters just emerged as the great work of resurrecting the characters they have impersonated. The melodious song to help us remember the joyful thought of freedom carried us away to immerse in the delightful singing of the students. The moments on ‘Prayer of Peace’ which had the management and a few students of grade 11 passing the candle to each other explained the theme of solidarity and oneness that is vital at all times.
