Bhavans IES Celebrates Teachers’ Day

Bhavans IES Celebrates Teachers’ Day

1

Bhavans Indian Education School, Kuwait held the Teachers’ Day celebration on September 5th, 2020, on its virtual platform under the auspices of the Student Supreme Council. The ‘shishyas’ of IES expounded their genuine love and profound reverence towards their ‘gurus’ in the most befitting manner despite all the limitations due to the ongoing pandemic COVID 19.

The eventful day unfurled at 9 a.m. when Mr. N.K Ramachandran Menon, the Chairman, Bhavans Middle East, addressed the virtual gathering of the teachers of IES. While extending the greeting of the Teachers’ Day, he stated that the annual Teacher’s Day Celebration serves as a powerful reminder to all the teachers about their long-term commitment to the student community and the society. He also added that vast knowledge and broad understanding of the subjects alone cannot make a teacher successful. He strongly emphasized that teachers must motivate their students in all the possible ways. Mr. T. Premkumar, the Principal, thanked the teachers for their sincere efforts to make the lives of the students more enjoyable during this period of remote teaching and learning. Quoting Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, he said, “Teachers should be the best minds in the country.” He also added that taking up the noble profession of teaching is an honor, but living up to the expectation about a teacher is very challenging.

The Sports Captains Adrian Peter and Diya S Lal joined the hosts with a very interactive virtual game of ‘Anthakshari’ dividing academic departments into different teams. The rules of the game were clearly briefed by the Sport Captain, Diya S Lal who shared the slide of a spinning wheel to play the game. Each team was given 15 seconds to showcase their musical talents in any languages of their choices. All the team members took part in the game with a lot of team spirit and tremendous enthusiasm. The second game was a highly interesting word game which was led by the Head Girl, Vaishnavi Rajesh Pai, followed by the magic show by Devinandhana Prasanthkumar of 11C and Harichandana Praveenkumar of 10G.  The Cultural Secretary, Theertha Kirhshna and the Deputy Head Boy, Adhityan Rajesh too joined the virtual auditorium with an interesting quiz for all the teachers.
