World Animal Day
“We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals”
The kindergarten wing of Bhavans Smart Indian School and Jack & Jill Preschool celebrated World Animal Day on 4th October. The day created to bring awareness about animal welfare and protection was celebrated in the kindergarten wing through songs and stories. They were made aware that animals are mute creatures who need our love and concern in this ever-advancing digital world.
The tiny tots were taken into a virtual jungle where they met many animals in their natural surroundings. Children were spellbound by seeing pictures of a few extinct animals and enjoyed it thoroughly. A video depicting the love and affection of different pets sensitized the little ones and aroused in them a feeling of owning a pet.
The children of LKG enjoyed drawing and colouring a picture of the giraffe while the UKG kids assembled a picture of a Koala Bear, through a cut and paste activity. They showed off their artwork with great joy and pride while posing for photographs.
