CBSE NATIONAL CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP 2022-2023

Gulf Indian School notched up under 11 mixed CBSE National Chess Championship 2022- 2023.

CBSE National Chess Championship 2022-2023 was held from 14^th January to 17^th January at Brookfield International School, Chandigarh, Punjab. The young ones from the Primary section of GIS proved their mettle by securing the THIRD POSITION and thereby making the school illustrious. The winning team members were MITHILESH RANJITH KUMAR (Class V), JAIKHALISH SIVARAMAN (Class V), SRAVAN SREEKUMAR (Class IV) and AAGNEY SHIJU (Class III).

MITHILESH RANJITHKUMAR has also won the INDIVIDUAL CHAMPION and BOARD CHAMPION.

Dr. S. Prashant Vasudev the Principal of GIS extolled the winners and appreciated the Sports Department for their relentless effort in bringing up the students meritorious in chess, "The Intellectual Game".
