FAIPS (DPS) BLESSES ITS UKG GRADUATES OF 2023

IMG 20230318 WA0031In the midst of the mixed feelings of euphoria and nostalgia, roaring applause was reverberating in the school premises when FAIPS Kindergarten had the much-awaited UKG Graduation Ceremony on the 13th and 14th of March 2023. The show stealers of UKG put up the spectacular event on the Primary School stage. They took over the show and mesmerized the audience with their impeccable anchoring.

The auspicious ceremony commenced on Monday, 13th March 2023, in the evening                                                    with the recital of the Holy Quran and the National Anthems of India and South Africa. After the lighting of the lamp ceremony, the Principal Ravi Ayanoli, welcomed the Chief Guest, His Excellency, the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa, Mr. Manelisi Genge; the Guests of Honour of the day, Dr. Diwakara Chaluvaiah, President of IDF and Mr. Arun Choudhary, CFO and Head Strategy, Al Rayan Holding Company.  In his welcome address, the Principal reminded the parents about the very important role of parents in the education of children. He also reiterated the requirement for parents to spend quality time with their children. The Chief Guest His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa, Manelisi Genge, shared his valuable thoughts on the importance of education and the freedom of exploring new possibilities in his address to the gathering.

The function commenced in the evening of Tuesday, 14th March 2023, followed the same course with a different group of students. The Chief Guest of the day was Her Excellency; the Ambassador of Indonesia to the State of Kuwait, Ms. Lena Maryana. Mr. Sunoj Nambiar, Founder and Director of the online portal, Indians in Kuwait, was the guest of Honour.  The Ambassador, Ms. Lena Maryana, addressed the gathering and emphasized the important roles played by teachers and parents in moulding children into responsible, mature adults with great values and civic sense. Expressing his excitement, after seeing the performance of the tiny tots, Mr. Sunoj Nambiar appreciated the FAIPS DPS team for their great contribution to preparing global citizens.

On both days, the musical extravaganza began when the tiny tots briefed the audience about their humble attempt in prepping for the mega event. The evening became magnetic once the in-house UKG choir cast a spell on the audience by singing and dancing to the inspirational lyrics by Bryan Adams, which kept the audience mesmerized.  Next was the scintillating performance from the Land of Arabia, the little ones entertained everyone with an Arabic song. Following that was a medley of folk dances from India, comprised of the song “NAATU, NAATU” which won the Best Original Song award at the 80th Golden Globe Award and the Oscar! The children danced amazingly to the peppy number. Their confidence and comfort were clearly visible in the performance.

The next troupe displayed their talent by making a debut on orchestra on a rhythmic frenzy from across the globe. They danced into everyone’s hearts with their cuteness and elegance. This performance was followed by the FAIPS KG Theatre, which unwrapped a fairytale-The Midas Touch, the value-oriented folklore of King Midas. The play enchanted the audience and everyone was mesmerized by the expressions of the artists and aesthetically set props. The well-trained theatre group emoted and dramatized the play to perfection. This was followed by the semi-classical dance form of Kathak. The rhythmic hand and foot movements and the synchronized steps sent everyone into a heavenly trance. The next number was by the dancing marvels who set the stage ablaze by impersonating the legend MICHAEL JACKSON! Their grooving steps were a treat for all.

Finally yet importantly was the Bollywood mash-up. The music and the synchronized steps had everyone giving them roaring applause. After the musical treat was a surprise for all, a PowerPoint presentation of the flashback; UKG: Reflections of joy! While the performances had stolen everyone’s heart, the thunderous applause cheered the performers!

Finally, was the Graduation March by the UKG children as they bid adieu to kindergarten adorned in their elegant graduation gowns and caps. On 13th March 2023, they proudly received graduation scrolls from His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa, Mr. Manelisi Genge, Dr. Diwakara Chaluvaiah, President of IDF and Mr. Arun Choudhary, CFO and Head Strategy, Al Rayan Holding Company, along with the Principal.

On 14th March 2023 the scrolls were handed over to the tiny graduates by Her Excellency, the Ambassador of Indonesia to the State of Kuwait, Ms. Lena Maryana, Mr. Sunoj Nambiar and the Principal.

The Graduation ceremony ended when the KG Headmistress, Mrs. Bharti Tiwari, gave the vote of thanks followed by the Indian National Anthem. The proud parents left the campus with a lump in their throats. Indeed, both days were very emotional for everyone present to see the children evolve beautifully as caterpillars turn into butterflies!
