“When there is no light, the family will guide you home,

When you feel alone, there is a family to call your own.”

FAMILY DAY ASSEMBLY by GRADE 4C

453A9671‘Family’ is a powerful word with many meanings which holds a special place in the life of an individual. At Indian Education School we celebrate ‘Family Day’ to promote awareness about the importance of family bonding and to encourage our children to reconnect with their loved ones to celebrate the essence of being a family. Through this we also instil in them the need to maintain family traditions as they create positive experiences and memories for everyone.

Family Day’ assembly was hosted by grade 4 C this year on May 22 at 10a.m. in the school auditorium. The parents of the students of grades 4C were the special invitees for the event. The assembly commenced on a pious note with a family prayer song: ‘Come and Fill Our Homes’ followed by the prayer in English by Daniel Koshy Robin and Quran recitation by Atqia Maryam Syeda. The thought for the day, “If you want to change the world, go home and love your family.” was delivered by Keethan Premanandh. The word of the day, “FAMILY” and its usage was presented by Harshit Kodimela

The event had many impressive performances. The celebration  commenced with thought provoking family quotes. The soulful “Family Welcome Song” rendered by the students was heart-warming and meaningful. The skit “TWO BROTHERS” reiterated the importance of relationships in a family and the fact that the members of a family are linked not only by blood but also by compassion, love, and support. The family video story was an emotional and exciting experience. It had the family photos of all the children of class 4C, along with the family photos of all the grade 4 teachers, the chairman, the principal, the headmistress and the primary HODs. The background Bollywood song, ‘Ek Doosray Se Karthay Hai Pyaar Hum’ added charm to the family video story. Last but not the least, the graceful dance drama was the highlight of the assembly. It portrayed that “A Family Is All About Sharing And Caring”.

The Principal, Mr. T. Premkumar, and Headmistress, Ms. Muneera Mammikutty appreciated the efforts put in by the class teacher, Ms. Sheeja John, the emcees Aldvin Lijo Thekkethala and Atqia Maryam Syeda, and all the other students of the class for staging a wonderful assembly. They thanked the parents for being a part of the event. Principal advised children to be well connected with their families and to take time to converse with their grandparents on a daily basis. Together the teachers, parents and students made the event what it was meant to be. The assembly concluded with the rendition of the Indian National Anthem.
