The Headmistress, Ms. Muneera Mammikutty spoke to the children about the selfless service rendered by our soldiers. She asked them to imbibe qualities like bravery, grit, and patriotism from their life. She thanked all the parents for being present amidst their busy schedules. She concluded her speech by reading out a poem penned by her to honour the real heroes of our nation which inspired, motivated, and illuminated the young minds.

O! Sons and daughters of the soil

For us day and night you toil

Your life is a tale of endless strife

You give your all to give us all a beautiful life

O’ Guardian of our land!

You have braved bombs, bullets and climes

To give us more peaceful times

For you there’s no rest nor mirth

You die a thousand times before your final death

Our tribute to you O’ martyred daughters and sons,

Whose mothers sacrificed you for our motherland,

To you we owe in tons

For this safe and secure land

The assembly ended on a patriotic note with the rendition of the Indian National Anthem.
