Celebrating India's Rich Diversity: Gulf Indian School Hosts 'Ek Bharat Sreshtha Bharat' Exhibition

258A9424"Gulf Indian School, adorned in the resplendent tapestry of three remarkable decades, stands today at the threshold of its 30th Foundation Day celebration. In commemoration of this illustrious journey through time, we find ourselves immersed in the joyous fervour of a grand competition ' EK BHARAT SRESHTHA BHARAT, a testament to the rich history that has woven itself into the very fabric of our institution. The event held on 4 September 2023, aimed to connect the young Indian diaspora with their cultural heritage, bringing together twelve schools in Kuwait.

 The event was structured around various facets of India's rich heritage, encompassing Traditional Attire, Vibrant Festivals, Diverse Dance Forms, Traditional Music, Architectural Marvels, Authentic Cuisine, Unsung Heroes, the Soul of the State, and Historical and Geographical facts.

A distinguished judging panel, consisting of Mr. Anoop Kumar Sharma, Principal of New Gulf Indian School Kuwait, and Dr. Saritha Hari, an obstetrician and gynecologist in Kuwait, meticulously observed, analyzed, and verified the performances and exhibits.

In a closely contested competition, FAIPS (DPS) emerged as the victor, earning the esteemed title of 'Sovereign Connoisseur of Indian States.' The winning team was duly honored with individual medals and certificates for their exceptional performance.

Learners Own Academy secured the runners-up position, earning the title 'Indian Explorer Extraordinaire,' while Carmel School Kuwait clinched the third position, with the title 'Diversity Dynamo Leading The Indian States Exhibition.'

The student participants from GIS received a Special Appreciation award, recognizing their outstanding performance as the 'Extreme Luminary of Indian State Splendors.'

These awards were presented by Dr. S. Prashant Vasudev, the Principal of GIS Kuwait, and Mr. Anoop Kumar Sharma, Principal of NGIS Kuwait.

In a gracious gesture of appreciation, Mrs. Kallainkutty Rajan, the Vice Principal of GIS, extended warm thanks to all the participants, which contributed to making "Ek Bharat Sreshtha Bharat '' a resounding success.

This event truly exemplified the unity in diversity that defines India's cultural landscape, fostering a profound sense of pride and connection among the Indian community in Kuwait.

The event's organization was expertly managed by the social science department under the capable guidance of Mrs. Reshmi David (HOD-Social Science), who demonstrated effective leadership throughout.

This magnificent occasion, which we now revel in, has been made possible through the sagacious counsel and visionary guidance of our dynamic principal. His unwavering dedication and astute leadership has been the beacon illuminating our path towards this grand event.
