Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations at IISM
GANDHI JAYANTI CELEBRATION
“There is nothing higher than the truth”
India International School KG section celebrated the theme of truth and non-violence coinciding with the birth anniversary of Gandhiji – The Father of our Nation.
The event began with Gandhiji’s favorite prayer “Ragupati Raghav Raja Ram”. The tiny tots transformed into adorable “swadeshis”, delivered short speeches which highlighted the quotes of Mahatma Gandhi and sang songs that conveyed his noble message in a most effective and influential manner.
A traditional spinning wheel (Charkha) was displayed at the event venue. The charkha symbolizes Gandhiji’s philosophy of self-reliance and non-violence.
Ishan from UKG C dressed as Mahatma Gandhi, complete with the iconic round glasses, white khadi clothing and a staff.
Through various creative activities in the classroom teachers stressed on the value of “, see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” which is the main principle of our beloved “Bapu”.
Thus it was an educational day and our tiny tots enjoyed.
