ICSK TREE PLANTATION MOVEMENT

150 Saplings Planted by ICSK Students at Adailiya, Hawally together with Ministry of Agriculture Affairs Kuwait

When we plant trees, we plant the seeds of peace and hope.

11 1 11zonThe Indian Community School, Senior not only strives for the holistic development of the students but also has a long-standing tradition of contributing towards the society by nurturing nature. In order to sensitize the students towards the need to preserve our environment and ecology, various initiatives are taken by the school. ICSK Flora Snap Module was a massive success where ICSKians planted more than 23347 saplings in different corners of the world.

Continuing with its tradition of preserving the environment and having ecofriendly activities, The Indian Community School Senior in collaboration with the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources, Kuwait declared the launch of ICSK Tree Plantation Movement on 16th October 2023 at Abraj Park Adailiya, Hawally, Kuwait at 9:30 a.m. in the glow of ministry officials. ICSK takes pride in being the first Indian school in Kuwait to collaborate with the Kuwait Ministry in the noble cause of preserving nature.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guests Mr. Fadil Husain Engineer, Head of the Department, Ministry of Agriculture, Mr.Thalal Zaid Eng., Incharge of 39 gardens in Kuwait City, Mr. Swalah Al. Saif, Head Of Adailiya Health City, Mr. Khalid Al Kandari, General Director of Adailiya Cooperative Society, Mr.Hamad Al. Salama, Asst. Head of Adailiya Health Department, Mr. Bassam from Adailiya Health City

Mr. Musaid Mudahaka, Head of the Social Service Council. Eminent guests from Kuwait Municipality included Mr.  Zaid Al. Anazi, Mr. Khalid Shayeel, Head of The Rawda Centre, Khalidiya, Adailiya and Mr.Salah Al. Farhan, General Supervisor.

150 students from ICSK Science Club enthusiastically participated in the drive and planted 150 saplings at Abraj Park, thereby contributing to make our surrounding greener and sustainable. Students were guided on how to take care of plants and were encouraged to visit the site regularly to monitor their growth and development. They also volunteered for a Special Cleaning Drive and actively participated in cleaning the premises of the park.

The proud parents of the young leaders are provided with an opportunity to visit the location and experience the unfeigned action of the students. The Science Club members shared their experience and joy in the interview broadcasted by Kuwait TV.

ICSK’s Tree Plantation Movement was a great success, and it helped in creating an awareness among the students about the importance of trees. It also encouraged them to actively participate in such events and take steps towards a greener future. The school's Science Club plans to organize such events in the future, with the aim of creating a sustainable and ecofriendly environment.
