453A0225Bhavans Indian Educational School has proven its mettle, yet again, excelling in sporting pursuits at the BSSF National Day Open Badminton Tournament 2023 in Bahrain. The competition, hosted by the Badminton World Federation, Bahrain, drew participants from across the Middle East.

The tournament witnessed commendable performances of the  talented athletes, showcasing their dedication, skills, sportsmanship, and securing victories that brought pride to Bhavans Kuwait. A total of eight star players from the school actively participated in the Badminton Tournament across various categories, including singles and doubles events. The participants represented the school with enthusiasm and demonstrated their commitment to sporting excellence.

Chairman, Shri N K Ramachandran Menon, in a heartfelt gesture, extolled the winners with vibrant bouquets, underscoring Bhavans Kuwait's dedication to recognizing and nurturing individual potential.

The felicitation program, graced by Vice Principals Mrs. Meenakshi Nayyar and Mr. Binoy Mathew, and Headmistress, Mrs. Muneera Mammikutty, celebrated the outstanding achievements of the students. Dr. Murugaiyan Subbarayalu, Head of the Physical Education Department, and Mr. Marimuthan Muniyasamy, Physical Education teacher, were acknowledged for their pivotal roles in this commendable success.

Liyan Fen Titto:

- Under 13 Boys Singles Runner-up

- Under 13 Boys Doubles Third Place

Dhyan Vaishak Nair:

- Under 13 Boys Runner-up

Sujith Murugaiyan:

- Under 13 Boys Doubles Third Place

Chris James:

- Under 15 Boys Doubles Third Place

**Leyon Ben Titto:

- Under 9 Boys Doubles Third Place

(This 4-year-old wonderkid, enrolled in IES kindergarten for the year 2024-25, needs a special mention for his stellar performance. He is the youngest member of IES badminton team and the youngest player in Kuwait to achieve this feat.  He has been undergoing training since the age of two. He was given a special trophy by the Chairman.)
